Antique bed sets include everything you need for a fully furnished bedroom. That is because while a bedroom’s style certainly begins with the bed, it does not end there. There are closets, wardrobes, mirrors, bed-stands, lamps, and maybe even a chest or curio. All these things and more can be found in bedrooms around the world, and if you want your bedroom to look like more than an empty room with a place to sleep plopped in it, you’ll probably be putting at least a few of them in your bedroom as well.

Some antique bed sets are fairly minimalist. They include a bed, a dresser, and side tables. This covers most of the furniture items you would want in a standard bedroom setup, but it is by no means the last word on the subject. You can also find customizable sets online, which allow you to mix and match different items to suit your tastes and needs.

Price is another area where antique bed sets will vary. For one, the bed itself will determine the baseline cost of the set. It will set you back much more to get a four poster bed than a simple sleigh bed. There is simply more material there in a four poster, and more detail work as well. From there you have to consider what the other pieces are. A luxurious ottoman won’t cost as much as a comfortable reading chair, but will cost more than an antique travel chest. A small curio will cost less than a large one, and so on. The end price depends on what you get, as well as where you get it from.
