Reproduction iron beds are designed to mimic the iron beds from the Victorian era and later although there are many different styles and sizes that have been created and mimicked in these beds. Often they will be crafted with the same materials and construction methods as the originals taking the owner back to a more tranquil time.

Reproduction iron beds can also be in the nouveau style, mission style, country style and almost any combination of those thought the quality of the reproduction is often based off how close it is to the original in materials and construction. Iron beds were some of the first metal objects besides cooking containers to enter into the home almost 200 years ago.

Reproduction iron beds can be either cast or forged. A forged bed will be more expensive because each pieces is handled by a blacksmith and shaped and pounded into the correct shapes and flourishes. Cast iron beds can be reproduced easier but are not as strong as a forged bed.
